PowerPoint does not close

Symptoms

PowerPoint does not close when attempting to close its window.

Background

This can be caused by conflicting add-ins within PowerPoint.

Step-by-step

1. Check if any Add-Ins other than OMBEA Response are currently active. If so deactivate such Add-Ins by following the instructions here.
2. Force PowerPoint to close by starting the Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del), select the Processes tab, select the POWERPNT.exe process, right-click on it and select End Process.
3. Start OMBEA Response to see if the problem has been resolved.
